After the MSc “Photons and atoms: Lasers, Optics, Plasmas” at Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, I decided to join Pr Francoeur’s research team at Polytechnique Montreal. This two-year M.Sc.A. grants a prominent place to laboratory work. My project was focused on the resonant excitation of Te isoelectronic centers in ZnSe for quantum information applications. After this fist experience I saw a great opporunity in joining Pascale Senellart’s team at C2N in Paris to work on a very advanced QD technology for my PhD. The objective of this thesis will be to develop highly efficient sources of single photons for on-chip integration.
